I wouldn’t consider myself au fait with things Egyptian though.

Taking “ka” to mean soul is the most typical modern interpretation of the meaning of the word. However, depending on the context of the text in which the term is used it also can appear to mean any of the following:

-one’s double
-to the extent of being able to express or represent what one wants
-one’s will power
-luck, fortune or destiny,
-a person/entity you “go to” after “death”
-something which can be given by a king
-but simultaneously owned by him

To explain this hotch-potch, we’re supposed to accept the “”the peculiar quality of Egyptian thought which allows an object to be understood not by a single and consistent definition, but by various and unrelated approaches”**….!

These are direct quotes from Jaynes’s 1976 book, “The Origin of…etc.”.

“Each person has his ka and speaks of it as we might of our will power.”

“Courtiers in some of their inscriptions referring to the king say, “I did what his ka loved” or “I did that which his ka approved,”16

“In some texts it is said that the king makes a man’s ka, and some scholars translate ka in this sense as fortune. Again, this is a modern imposition. A concept such as fortune or success is impossible in the bicameral culture of Egypt.”

“Frequently the ka crops up in names of Egyptian officials [..]: Kaininesut, “my ka belongs to the king,” or Kainesut, “the king is my ka.”18

In the Cairo Museum, stela number 20538 says, “the king gives his servants Ka’s and feeds those who are faithful.”

“The pyramids are full of false doors, sometimes simply painted on the limestone walls, through which the deceased god-king’s ka could pass out into the world and be heard.”

“But most significant are the representations of the king’s ka as his twin in birth scenes.”

Going back to the voices, Jaynes says that in a sophisticated and hierarchical society like ancient Egypt, the voice people heard wasn’t the local king, tribal leader, recently deceased leader or a god but that of an authority figure, for example, the slave owner for a slave, a vizier for a low-ranking palace employee, the Pharaoh-king himself for courtiers and viziers.Jaynes’s view of it seems – to me – to be by far the most convincing.

He believes that the ka is the internal voice directing each person. If you’re working for the king, then it’s the king’s voice you hear or at least that’s what you think you’re hearing. So, when some text says that the king gave a man his ka, it means that it was the king’s voice that was ordering him around – the thing that gives him direction in life.

It doesn’t mean fortune.

It also explains phrases referring to doing what the king’s ka approved of and declaring that one’s ka belongs to the king. Equally, it fits the idea of the ka being what we would refer to as one’s willpower.

The ka is what makes you do stuff.

The image above shows the god Khnum forming a future king with the right hand and the king’s ka with the left on the potter’s wheel as per Egyptian legends of the time.

Note that the ka points with its left hand to its mouth, indicating its speech ability – in keeping with Jaynes’s view of its function.

“The Song of Songs, which is Solomon’s” Seems to be so entitled, as composed by Solomon, the wisest of men, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and as composed concerning the true Solomon, the Prince of Peace, of whom the son of David was an eminent type.

The Christian Fathers compare the whole teaching of Solomon to a ladder consisting of three steps: Proverbs embraces instruction in morals; Ecclesiastes indicates the nature of things transient; and the Song of Songs contains the mystic union of Christ and His Church, that we may fly upward to the Great Bridegroom.

The I Ching’s texts refer also to the 10,000 things as;

‘Wantsu’ and the ‘Swastika’

The Chinese call the swastika ‘Wan’ meaning the whole creation or the myriad things.
‘Wantsu’ or ‘swastika’ represents the four points or directions of the compass.
It symbolizes the 10,000 myriad things or infinity.

In Asia it is still used to designate a church on maps and the Kanji for 10,000 is derived from the swastika, which was associated with 10,000 gods.

Situs inversus (also called situs transversus or oppositus) is a congenital condition in which the major visceral organs are reversed or mirrored from their normal positions. The normal arrangement is known as situs solitus.

What does the above image suggest when comparing the cw and ccw swastika to ‘handedness’?
In fact it is not surprising to find out that our two hands L/R and the two opposed swastikas can both be described as chiral and asymmetric.

The term chirality is derived from the Greek word for hand

IF metaphorically god molded men out of clay, then god’s hands as ‘tools’ should be explored as potential clues?

Wan /swastika = 10,000 the Great Number

China has two auspicious names for the swastika, the Wan and LEI Wen

The meaning of Lei is “thunder”.

LEI, is generally used as a boy’s name. It consists of 3 letters and 1 syllable and is pronounced Lei.

LEI Wen = swastika = Thunder Scroll

One of the Chinese names for the Swastika is Lei Wen, or thunder scroll, showing that is was associated with the sky, and the sky gods are associated with creation.

The swastika is associated with the number ten thousand, the “Great Number”, signifying the whole of creation.

Another Chinese name for the Swastika is Wan or Wan Tzu. It is said to have come from heaven. As a character among Chinese Hieroglyphs, it means prosperity, good luck, wealth and long life.

The word for “Power” in Chinese characters is a Swastika.

The Crux Gammata

This symbol is also known as the swastika, a name derived from the Sanskrit svastika. As a symbol of prosperity and good fortune, the swastika was widely used in the ancient world. The swastika, known as the Manji in Japanese which moves in a counterclockwise direction stands for Night and Magical practices and is generally considered a solar symbol. It was this version that was perverted by the Nazis and used as their symbol.

It stood for a great num- ber, infinity, many bless- ings. It was the key to excellence. Enclosed in a circle it was the word for the sun. It was known in Japan under the name of Mang-ziou (the sign of 10,000 years). It is stamped on archaic vases and pottery found in India, Persia, China, Italy, Greece, Cyprus; it is found on ancient bronze ornaments in England, France, Etruria; it ap- pears on bronze objects found in the Swiss lake dwell- ings and on ceintures of bronze, also on weapons and various articles of dress and ornament in Germany and Scandinavia; it is graven on sculptured stones and Celtic crosses in Ireland and Scotland, and is found in pre-historic burial grounds in Scandinavia, Mexico, Peru, Yucatan, Paraguay and the United States.

It was used before the Aryans commenced their migra-tions, and has been called the oldest Aryan symbol.

Apparently it was never adopted by the Phoenicians, Babylonians, Assyrians, or Egyptians, yet it has been found in Egypt, the inference being that it was brought there by the Greeks.

Wherever it appears, like the wheel it was considered to be an image of the sun and was thus honoured. The heraldry of the Middle Ages blazoned it on shields. In modern heraldry it is given the name gammadion or crux gammata from its resem- blance to a four-fold repetition of the Greek gamma.

In Middle Persian he is called Dahāg or Bēvar-Asp, the latter meaning “[he who has] 10,000 horses”. Within Zoroastrianism, Zahak (going under the name Aži Dahāka) is considered the son of Angra Mainyu, the foe of Ahura Mazda.

Gospel of Thomas ~ 23

Gospel of Thomas saying no. 23

The Gospel of Thomas contains a previously unknown saying attributed to Jesus concerning Divine election. Saying 23 of the Gospel of Thomas reads (Lambdin version):

Jesus said, “I shall choose you, one out of a thousand, and two out of ten thousand, and they shall stand as a single one.”

When we look closely at GTh 23, it seems to contain three main concepts:

(1) The idea that Jesus will choose people (“you,” plural).
(2) The chosen people will be relatively few in number (specifically, “one out of a thousand and two out of ten thousand”).
(3) The chosen people will stand as one.

The first aspect of GThomas 23, the idea that Jesus will choose people, is related to both the Jewish and Christian interpretations of the concept of election (including GThomas 49 & 50) and this rather large topic is beyond the scope of this message. The remainder of this message concentrates on the second aspect of GThomas 23 as outlined above: the chosen people will be relatively few in number. The third topic, the concept that the chosen people “will stand as one,” is discussed here only in terms of the function it serves within GThomas 23 and not the function it serves within Syriac Christianity or within the Gospel of Thomas as a whole.

In GThomas 23, Jesus indicates that the number of those he chooses is far less than the number of those he does not choose. Now a general saying concerning the proportion of those chosen to those not chosen was also attributed to Jesus within early Christianity in the form of Matthew 22:14 ~ “For many are called, but few are chosen.” This same saying also occurs in the Epistle of Barnabas (Ep. of Barnabas, ch. 4 ~ “Many are called, but few are chosen”) where it is called “scripture.” So we see that a loose parallel to GThomas 23 was also circulating within early Christianity outside of the Gospel of Thomas.

But what are we to make of the particular form that the saying takes in GThomas 23?

While the use of the specific ratios of 1:1,000 and 2:10,000 are unique to GThomas 23 as a saying of Jesus, the appearance of these ratios is, at least to some extent, traditional. For example, the ratio of 1:1,000 is found in the following sources: Job 9:2,3 ~ “But how can a mortal be righteous before God? Though one wished to dispute with him, he could not answer him one time out of a thousand;” Job 33:23 ~ “Yet if there is an angel on his side as a mediator, one out of a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him;” Ecclesiastes 7:28 ~ “I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.”

The ratio of 1:10,000 is found in the Song of Solomon: 5:10 ~ “My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand;” and in 2 Kings 14:7 ~ “He was the one who defeated ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle, calling it Joktheel, the name it has to this day.”

The ration of 1,000(s):10,000(s) is found in 1 Sam. 18:7, 8 ~ As they danced, they sang: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands;” in Psalms 91:7~ “A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you;” and in Michah 6:7 ~ “Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of oil?”

The ratios of 1:1000 and 2:10,000 are combined in Deuteronomy 32:20 ~ “How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?”

The two ratios that appear in Deuteronomy 32:20 – 1:1,000 and 2:10,000 – are precisely the same as the two ratios we find in GThomas 23. While these two ratios do not appear in the New Testament writings, they do surface in the writings of Irenaeus, where they appear within a description of the teachings of Basilides – “Against All Heresies,” Book 1, Ch. 24:6 ~ “The multitude, however, cannot understand these matters, but only one out of a thousand, or two out of ten thousand. They declare that they are no longer Jews, and that they are not yet Christians; and that it is not at all fitting to speak openly of their mysteries, but right to keep them secret by preserving silence.” (The way in which Basilides uses these ratios to signify the few who can “understand” the “mysteries” that are “secret” is reminiscent of certain sayings in the Gospel of Thomas, such as the Prologue and saying 62.)

But there is yet another parallel to GThomas 23 that has a similar meaning and form, though it does not include mention of 1,000 or 10,000. Specifically, Jeremiah 3:14 reads ~ “I will choose you – one from a town and two from a clan – and bring you to Zion.” In this quote, we find some of the aspects of the form of Thomas 23 that sets it apart from other Christian examples of Divine election. As in GThomas 23, the process of choosing is described in the first person, future tense, active voice and those chosen will be one from here and two from there. Furthermore, the ending of Jer. 3:14, “and bring you to Zion,” is a brief prediction of the ultimate fate of the chosen ones, just as we find in the ending of GThomas 23, “they shall stand as a single one.”

In summary, GThomas 23 is a prediction of election made by Jesus that seems to be an interpretation or re-statement of Jer. 3:14 in which the “one from a town and two from a clan” specifications have been changed to “one out of a thousand and two out of ten thousand,” possibly due to the influence of such traditional passages as Deut. 32:20 and Psalms 91:7. The ending of the saying in Jer. 3:14 has also been changed in GThomas 23, though the function it serves is similar in both cases. A different form of the saying was current in early Christianity (Matt. 22:14; Ep. Barn. 4) and Irenaeus attributes the use of the same ratios that appear in GThomas 23 to Basilides within the context of understanding secret mysteries. These, then, are the passages that form the background to an understanding of GThomas 23.

– Kevin Johnson

But of the links I have come across thus far, the ideas presented here are worth pondering;

The words of Yeshua have to be understood from a totally different perspective.
In an essay “The Gospel of Thomas and the Hermeneutics of Vision” by Dr. Lance Owens writes that “This tradition is defined by its hermeneutics (study of interpretation theory): Only one who understands the method of interpretation will understand the message. It is a psychological paradox: the message is the method; the method is vision – a perceptive, spiritually uplifted, visionary encounter with the message.

The target group of thousand and ten thousand are multiples of ten and carries an important significance. According to St. Emanuel Swedenborg, in his magnum opus ‘Arcana Coelestia’, he says; “The number “ten” in the Holy Scriptures, as also “tenths” signify and represent remains, which are preserved by the Lord in the internal man, and which are holy, because they are of the Lord alone”
Out of entire humanity, the thousand and the ten thousand that are being scanned for the choice are already spiritual adepts, as they represent the higher stages of spiritual consciousness. This can be equated to the Master of the vineyard who picks the ripened grapes from the vines for the wine press.

From this elite group only one from the first level of spiritual consciousness and two from the higher level are chosen. The significance of one and two are also important. Both the candidates have a common requirement, namely; they have to stand as one which means that all duality must be eradicated and the individual consciousness must be merged with the Divine. This can be achieved by those who have unity of purpose (one) in karmic duties and worship and those who carry this unity of purpose to a higher level through the power of their spiritual wisdom. The consciousness uplifting act is equated to the power of (two) wings in many Scriptural passages.

The extent and depth of this saying while pointing out the difficulty that we might encounter in our spiritual pursuit, points to a methodology through powerful interpretation and symbolism.

And after pondering all of the above information I feel this next idea that I would like to present should also be considered.
The underlying message that Gospel 23 might have also been hinting at suggests the vital wisdom that was being conveyed was an introductory course on probability?
What if the Gospel of Thomas (and others) contain insights to geometry too, along with physics and math that can still be exploited today to explore the quantum unseen world?
A 21st century Pythagoras would suggest such a rudimentary question is highly rhetorical, so can we get on with it?

First Course on Probability 10000 + 1000 Gospel of Thomas saying 23

Gospel 23 adds up to 11,000

Energies of a photon at 500 keV and an electron after Compton scattering.

Is this of any significance?
I believe it might be.

Note the Vesica Piscis.

Compton found that some X-rays experienced no wavelength shift despite being scattered through large angles; in each of these cases the photon failed to eject an electron.[3] Thus the magnitude of the shift is related not to the Compton wavelength of the electron, but to the Compton wavelength of the entire atom, which can be upwards of 10 000 times smaller.

Low-energy phenomena

Mid-energy phenomena

Thomson scattering is the elastic scattering of electromagnetic radiation by a free charged particle, as described by classical electromagnetism. It is just the low-energy limit of Compton scattering.

Compton scattering is an inelastic scattering of a photon by a free charged particle, usually an electron. It results in a decrease in energy (increase in wavelength) of the photon (which may be an X-ray or gamma rayphoton), called the Compton effect. Part of the energy of the photon is transferred to the scattering electron.

Feynman diagram for pair production
photon decays into an electronpositron pair

High-energy phenomena

Pair production refers to the creation of an elementary particle and its antiparticle, usually when a photon(or another neutral boson) interacts with a nucleus or another boson.

Why is the vesica piscis an important connection to the bigger picture … part of the underlying message being passed forward?

I originally wrote this post back in 2013. At that time the Bengali ShoStik SwaStik was not yet on our radar as the reference to the date Nov. 26/2016 suggests.

Meaning we were clearly ignorant of its significance to a much older narrative about ‘energy’ and its effects on people that can found all over the world.

Also at that time we not aware of the potential link between the ShoStik, plasma discharges and most recently the Orans or Orante position that antedates ‘prayer’ which really only appeared on the scene in about the 8th century gaining momentum and becoming the people’s choice in the west in about the 12th century.

And without a doubt the Orans/Orante gesture is far too similar to the ShoStik gesture to ignore it.
The above image that we see placed next to the ShoStik with five dots below it can be placed alongside an early Christian painting of Noah in the gesture of orant … take note of the five similar smudges below Noah.

What if the five dots are a reference to the five nails used to represent the five wounds of Christ given names in the Coptic tradition.

The Coptic Prayer of the Virgin in Bartos describes how that Christ was crucified with five nails, which were named Sator, Arepo, Tenet, Opera and Rotas.[10] This reading of the words consequently entered the Ethiopic tradition where they became the names of the wounds of Christ.[11]

In Ethiopian tradition the words are slightly altered, with SADOR being the lance wound, ALADOR being the right hand wound, DANAT being the left hand wound, ADERA being the right foot wound, and RODAS being the left foot wound. These 5 words are prayed on each knot of an 41 count Ethiopian mequetaria (prayer rope).[12]

And now David Lapointe’s primer fields has again entered the discussion.
Along with the wandering pole.

The pyramid complex covers 37 acres (15 ha) and provides several cultic buildings. It is one of the best preserved Old Kingdom royal cemeteries and hides several, huge underground mazes of niched corridors and chambers.

The conCERNed research of David LaPoint

This work is worth noting and making record of.
How it collides with the numbers 37 and 43  and the geometry archetypes I have been gathering as evidence of a design we are just beginning to comprehend, again.

Here is a comment I hope to share with Dave, acknowledging his intuition, and mine too.

David thanks for your work illustrating the hexagonal/graphene geometry.

The above site *confirms your work* and shows how it is fundamental to what we can see and cannot see.
It clearly illustrates how far reaching the implications are of what you have presented.

The hexagon geometry scaling outwards starts with 6 around 1 and the pattern is simple.
You just keep adding 6 hexagons to each successive ring ending up with hexagon rings following this pattern >> i.e. … the center 1 > 6 >12 >18 > 24

Important to note the center plus the first three rings total ’37’.

Important to remind the reader that the mandala shown the greatest reverence in Buddhism is the Sri Yantra and it has ‘43‘ triangles that are a fundamental part of its structure.

The Sri Yantra (“holy instrument”) or Sri Chakra (“holy wheel”) is a yantra formed by nine interlocking triangles that surround and radiate out from the central (bindu) point, the junction point between the physical universe and its unmanifest source.

The result of 5 triangles pointing downward (Shakti energy) overlapping with 4 triangles pointing upward (Shiva energy).
9 triangles thus give birth to 43 smaller ones.

This next video continues to highlight the geometry  that we can easily associate to the Seed/Flower/Fruit of Life and  back again to the number

Truth ‘just is’ and eventually all the research takes us back to what ‘just is’.

NOW why should that be so surprising to find out that the Great Pyramid is a ‘time capsule’ still capable of delivering more AHAs?

Important to recall that the  controversial first/second Pharaoh associated with the unification of North and South Egypt was Horus Aha or Hor Aha which means Horus the Fighter!

There has been some controversy about Hor-Aha. Some[4] believe him to be the same individual as the legendaryMenes and that he was the one to unify all of Egypt. Others claim he was the son of Narmer, the pharaoh who unified Egypt. Narmer and Menes may have been one pharaoh, referred to with more than one name. Regardless, considerable historical evidence from the period points to Narmer as the pharaoh who first unified Egypt (see Narmer Palette) and to Hor-Aha as his son and heir.
