This blog entry is essentially about the CHIRAL ANOMALY.

In theoretical physics, a chiral anomaly is the anomalous nonconservation of a chiral current. In everyday terms, it is equivalent to a sealed box that contained equal numbers of left and right-handed bolts, but when opened was found to have more left than right, or vice versa.
Such events are expected to be prohibited according to classical conservation laws, but it is known there must be ways they can be broken, because we have evidence of charge–parity non-conservation (“CP violation”). It is possible that other imbalances have been caused by breaking of a chiral law of this kind. Many physicists suspect that the fact that the observable universe contains more matter than antimatter is caused by a chiral anomaly.[1]

Research into chiral symmetry breaking laws is a major endeavor in particle physics research at this time.

Dear Peter (Woit),

Just to repeat, if these are quantum fluctuations of the gravitational field, amplified by inflation or some similar mechanism there is a great deal new to be learned about quantum gravity, starting with parity breaking effects, and continuing with non-perturbative effects modifying the relation between r and the tensor tilt.

Given the prospects for much improved precision for the observations, (quoted as r measured to 1 percent) perhaps its not crazy to say we may have confirmation of quantum gravity effects before we have direct detection of classical gravitational waves.

It occurred to me today to investigate the possible connection between the BICEP2 Team fluctuating gravitation waves that we see in the above image and a possible connection to a ‘fluctuating or oscillating’ fine structure constant.

I came across this entry on fluctuating asymmetry and found its conclusions profound.

Fluctuating asymmetry is one way in which an organism can deviate from bilateral symmetry, others being anti-symmetry and directional asymmetry….

… As such it is a key concept in evolution and development, and underlies concepts such as resilience or developmental stability—the ability to maintain a normal developmental course under stress.[1]

In individual differences research, FA has been found to have a negative correlation to measurements of human traits such as social dominance,working memory, and intelligence.In old age, facial symmetry has been associated with better cognitive aging.Symmetry also affects physical attractiveness.

But what immediately is apparent is how a fluctuating asymmetry seems to permeate many fields even the female orgasm.

Accumulating evidence suggests that low fluctuating asymmetry is a sexually selected male feature in a variety of species, including humans, possibly because it is a marker of genetic quality. Based on these notions, the proportion of a woman’s copulations associated with orgasm is predicted to be associated with her partner’s fluctuating asymmetry. A questionnaire study of 86 sexually active heterosexual couples supported this prediction.

Gravitational waves and the meaning of r

The gravitational field as well as the inflaton field is subject to quantum fluctuations during inflation. We call these tensor fluctuations to distinguish them from the scalar fluctuations in the energy density. The tensor fluctuations have an effect on the microwave anisotropy which can be distinguished in principle from the scalar fluctuations. We’ll just take that for granted here, without worrying about the details of how it’s done.

I’m not the right person to try and explain the details of this, or even to point you to the best review articles, but some things you might want to look at are John Preskill’s derivation of the prediction here, and many people are pointing to Daniel Baumann’s lectures here.

Due to a series of 13 fortunate events leading up to the public announcement made recently on 3/17, the title of this blog has been *updated*.
The announcement on March 17 opened doors for both Nobel and noble thoughts to continue in the recovery process.

Thus in light of the above evidence which continues to investigate RED vs. BLUE, I felt compelled to do what I had to do next.
I really only have one option left open to me and ME.

Scientists observe sound traveling faster than the speed of light!

“The sound-faster-than-light result will not be a surprise to the folks who work closely in this area because they recognize that the group velocity (the velocity that the peak of a pulse moves) is not merely connected to the velocity of all of the frequencies that superpose to create that pulse,” explained Robertson, “but rather to the manner in which a material or a filter changes the phase relationship between these components.

By appropriate phase manipulation (rephasing) the group velocity can be increased or decreased.”

To rephase the spectral components, the sound waves were sent through an asymmetric loop filter on a waveguide of PVC pipe, about 8 m long. The 0.65-meter loop split the sound waves into two unequal path lengths, resulting in destructive interference and standing wave resonances that together created transmission dips at regular frequencies.

Due to anomalous dispersion (which changes the wave speed), sound pulses traveling through the loop filter arrived at the exit sooner than pulses traveling straight through the PVC. With this experiment, the group velocity could actually reach an infinitely small amount of time, although the individual spectral components still travel at the speed of sound.

“We also achieved what is known as a ‘negative group velocity,’ a situation in which the peak of the output pulse exits the filter before the peak of the input pulse has reached the beginning of the filter,” explained Robertson. “Using the definition for speed as being equal to distance divided by time, we measured a negative time and thus realized a negative velocity.”

It might not seem that a negative velocity would exceed the speed of light, but in this case, Robertson said, the speed of the pulse is actually much faster than c.

Thus we have established a direct correlation between SOUND waves and ASYMMETRY!

Electrons are thought to spin, even though they are pure point particles with no surface that can possibly rotate. Recent work on graphene shows that the electron’s spin might arise because space at very small distances is not smooth, but rather segmented like a chessboard.The standard cartoon of an electron shows a spinning sphere with positive or negative angular momentum, as illustrated in blue or gold above. However, such cartoons are fundamentally misleading: compelling experimental evidence indicates that electrons are ideal point particles, with no finite radius or internal structure that could possibly “spin”.A quantum mechanical model of electron transport in graphene, a single layer of graphite (shown as a black honeycomb), presents a possible resolution to this puzzle. An electron in graphene hops from carbon atom to carbon atom as if moving on a chessboard with triangular tiles. At low energies the individual tiles are unresolved, but the electron acquires an “internal” spin quantum number which reflects whether it is on the blue or the gold tiles. Thus the electron’s spin could arise not from rotational motion of its substructure, but rather from the discrete, chessboard-like structure of space.

“My adviser [Regan] spent his Ph.D. studying the structure of the electron,” Mecklenburg said. “So he was very excited to see that spin can emerge from a lattice. It makes you wonder if the usual electron spin could be generated in the same way.”

Schumann Resonance – Influence of the day-night asymmetry 

In the early literature the observed diurnal variations of Schumann resonance power were explained by the variations in the source-receiver (lightning-observer) geometry.[18]It was concluded that no particular systematic variations of the ionosphere (which serves as the upper waveguide boundary) are needed to explain these variations.[33]Subsequent theoretical studies supported the early estimations of the small influence of the ionosphere day-night asymmetry (difference between day-side and night-side ionosphere conductivity) on the observed variations in Schumann resonance field intensities.[34]

The interest in the influence of the day-night asymmetry in the ionosphere conductivity on Schumann resonances gained new strength in the 1990s, after publication of a work by Sentman and Fraser.[35] Sentman and Fraser developed a technique to separate the global and the local contributions to the observed field power variations using records obtained simultaneously at two stations that were widely separated in longitude.

The “inverse problem”

One of the interesting problems in Schumann resonances studies is determining the lightning source characteristics (the “inverse problem”). Temporally resolving each individual flash is impossible because the mean rate of excitation by lightning, ~50 lightning events per second globally, mixes up the individual contributions together. However, occasionally there occur extremely large lightning flashes which produce distinctive signatures that stand out from the background signals. Called “Q-bursts“, they are produced by intense lightning strikes that transfer large amounts of charge from clouds to the ground, and often carry high peak current.[25] Q-bursts can exceed the amplitude of the background signal level by a factor of 10 or more, and appear with intervals of ~10 s,[29] which allows to consider them as isolated events and determine the source lightning location. The source location is determined with either multi-station or single-station techniques, and requires assuming a model for the Earth–ionosphere cavity. The multi-station techniques are more accurate, but require more complicated and expensive facilities.

    “The scriptures repeat over and over and over the phrase, “The right hand of God”. The right hand in Biblical symbology means strength, honor, and power. When God saves, protects, provides, delivers, or fights it is always with his right hand and arm. What does the right hand of God specifically stand for in scripture? Isaiah 48:13 plainly states the by the hand of the Lord He laid the foundation of the earth and by His right hand He laid out the heavens. These same actions are ascribed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:8-10. So we can definitively say that God’s right hand is Jesus Christ. I have listed the MANY scriptures that speak of God’s right hand below. You will see that God’s right hand in the Old Testament defeats enemies, gave the Law, saves, gives joy and pleasures, shields, teaches, upholds, acquires, plants, gives victory, does valiantly, provides shade, leads, embraces, and creates. In the New Testament it is repeated over and over and over that Jesus after finishing the work of redemption sat down at the RIGHT HAND OF GOD. Jesus is at God’s right hand and IS THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD! It is by the finished work of redemption that God legally moves in power and glory on our behalf in every conceivable way!
