157 – Geometry of the Zeitgeist – the Maltese Cross – the Jain/Polynesian Mattang – the Gundestrup Cauldron

Before I proceed with this blog I just want to share a couple of profound coincidences.

First this video about MANDALAS, please note it happens to be 1:57 long.
And the mandala is quite important according to Carl Jung when discussing the process of individuation.
Jung actually summed up his life’s work essentially in one word.

The mandala was the key to the therapeutic individuation (‘finding yourself’) process.

I was born in Toronto/York which was founded in 1793, and my first home was after being born in Toronto Western Hospital I was brought home to 157 Aileen Avenue.

York was founded in I793, the same year that George Washington laid the cornerstone in the Capitol building AND the French released metric version 1.0.

But this particular blog today is not about the Maya Code I793 or I379 it is about I57.

Of course in aILEen I can extract the upside down numbers ILE >> 37I
…and I can also extract the word aLIEn too, with a remainder of an E or is it a 3?

Do you see the four ‘angular’ 3s on the four arms of the swastika
that look also like an M, W, and E?
MWE or 3 identified as KEY 5

What do you see below on the left … do we see KEY 5?

As you go around the wheel do you see  MEW3  EW3M 3MEW W3ME ?

So about 5100 years separate these two IDEAS that I feel are suggesting the same narrative.
I am suggesting that we can place them over each other like you would overhead transparencies when building on an idea.

At Mathura, there is an old Jain stupa with the inscription of:

157 A. D.

This inscription records that an image of Aranath was set up at the stupa built by the gods.
Suparshvanath was the seventh JainTirthankar of the present age (Avasarpini):

Life as a Tirthankara

From the dimension of gods this soul descended into the womb of queen Prithvi Devi, wife of king Pratishthasen of Varanasi. During her pregnancy the queen did not lose her normal shapely figure, as generally happens. As her flanks still remained attractive, the child, when born, was named Suparshva.

When Suparshva became young he was married and later ascended the throne. He ably conducted the affairs of he state and looked after the well being of his people. One day while he was enjoying the nature sitting at the roof top, he observed the falling of leaves and wilting of flowers. Suddenly he became aware of the transient nature of life. This gave a rising to the feeling of detachment and desire for spiritual upliftment. He gave his kingdom to his son and became an ascetic. After nine months of disciplined practices he became an omniscient on the sixth day of the dark half of the month of Phalgun. For a long period he worked for the spread of right knowledge. He attained Nirvana on the seventh day of the bright half of he month of Palgun at Sammetshikhar.

The hand with a wheel on the palm symbolizes the Jain Vow of Ahimsa.
The word in the middle is “ahimsa”.

The wheel represents the dharmacakra which stands for the resolve to halt the cycle of reincarnation through relentless pursuit of truth and non-violence.

Matang is a Dalit caste in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Matangs are known as Madigas in Andhra Pradesh.

References to Matang can be found in ancient Jain literature. According to Jain literature, Vinami, the great grandson of Rishabh the first Teerthankar of Jainism, was the founder of Matang race.

Suparshvanath, the 7th Teerthankar of Jainism himself was a Matang. His Yaksha (attendant god) was also a Matang. The Yaksha of Mahavir the 24th Teerthankar was also a Matang.

Matang Yaksha is Jain God of Prosperity.

According to Ramayan, Hanuman, Vali, Sugreev were Matangs.

This is a mattang, the Polynesian “compass”. Like many other sailors, the Polynesians used the sun and stars, cloud formations and flights of birds to navigate over large expanses of open ocean (can you guess why clouds and birds could be helpful in finding land?). But the Polynesians also learned how to read wave patterns. Throw a stone into the water and what happens–the stone sinks of course, but circles of waves are made centred on where the stone fell. In much the same way, waves in the sea hit an island and are reflected back. The mattang is a tool showing all the basic patterns that waves can form when they bounce off land. An experienced Polynesian sailor would be able to read the wave patterns and tell which direction to go to find land. Stationary cloud formations, caused by temperature changes when cool sea air passes over warmer land areas, and the presence of many birds, show land is not too far away even if it cannot yet be seen.

Mattang – the source unknown, lost to a greater antiquity.

Why does the Polynesian Mattang used for navigating the ocean look like a Maltese cross?
Why do the Polynesians call it an essential ‘survival too’ bequeathed to them heralding back to a time unknown?
Would they use the SOUTHERN Cross (star) to guide them too?
If a Mu or Atlantis (centered around Antarctica) did in fact exist, the ancestors of the Pacific peoples would have been in the thick of it.

Also known as a rattleback, a simple ancient toy that behaves in a very counterintuitive way. When spun one way about its vertical axis, the celt spins for a long time. When spun the other way, however, a wobble quickly sets in that halts the rotation and then, incredibly, reverses it.

In his 1986 paper1 on the subject the British physicist Hermann Bondi wrote:

The Gundestrup cauldron is a magnificent silver bowl,  42 cm. high and  69 cm. diameter, composed of thirteen finely embossed panels: five inner rectangular, seven outer square and a circular one as the bottom.

The description of the cauldron had me excited:

• 1 circular base
• 5 inner rectangular panels
• 7 outer square panels 

Another significant ‘157‘?
My excitement was premature because one panel from the outside is missing suggesting something else.
I feel it is suggesting a ratio between the outside panels and the inside panels specifically an 8:5 golden ratio or 1.6 which is traditionally recognized as an acceptable approximation of phi 1.618.
Both the numbers 58 and 85 if expressed as ratios are significant.

5:8 = .625 

8:5 = 1.6
